Friday, Jul. 25, 2003 - 3:59 p.m. The Hills are AliveCelebrating my joy at having audio on my computer again, I popped in a cdrom of mp3's that I dumpstered a month ago. Not only does the cdrom work, but it contains hours of awful music from the 70's. I tortured Anarchy man with "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. In addition, this cdrom has Abba, Carole King, the Carpenters, James Taylor, Kiss, Kool and the Gang, Neil Diamond, and Captain and Tenille. I listened to "Muskrat Love". That song is really, really bad. Now I understand what punk rock was reacting to. The worst one of all is "Laughter in the Rain" by Neil Sedaka. I'm talking DEEP HURTING. I guess America was trying to forget the Vietnam War, so the masses indulged in the most sickeningly saccarine shit imaginable. People actually paid money for elevator music. So, of course, I taught myself to sing the song. Now I just need an unsuspecting audience. Am I evil? Yes I am! Against Morality - Sunday, May. 01, 2005
