Spray Paint

I'm off on a new income venture--painting address numbers onto the sides of curbs. I'm making much more than I did with phone surveys, with the following benefits:

  • I am my own boss.

  • I can work whenever I please, for whatever duration of time I please.

  • my income is off the books.

  • I get to work in the fresh air, in the sunshine, under the blue sky.

  • Though I'm still a professional people-botherer, now I'm providing a service that the customers actually understand and value.

  • I get to inhale atomized droplets of paint as well as carcinogenic, brain-damaging toluene and acetone.

  • The pay is high and immediate.

I gave notice at Good Sense of Life Phone Surveys.

I gotta give props to d-anarchist for telling me about spray-painting curbs as a money opportunity in the first place, and for providing technical support.

I'm having lots of fun hanging with Anarchy Man.

Last night we went to see Brian Kenney Fresno. His poster made him sound like a music and comedy god, especially with the recommendation from Carla of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, one of my favorite bands. But although he was really good at playing his combo bass/guitar, he generated few laughs, and Anarchy Man and I got so bored we left in the middle.
