Dole Bludgers

Anarchy Man and I both got on Food Stamps. To me, it's kind of a defeat, but also a much-needed relief on my financial worries. So far, including all the time and the cost of materials, painting address numbers on curbs has netted me only $3.08 an hour, which is less than half of Oregon's minimum wage. Now I'm torn between getting a real job again (no more people-bothering) and finding opinion surveys online to take that will pay me money. In the meantime, I'm supplementing my ramen diet with good, wholesome nutrition. And Anarchy Man is supplementing his ramen diet with Marshmellow Magic cereal.

And yeah, partaking of money plundered by the government goes against our principles, but need plus convenience trumps purity. And it still saves more face than hitting up one's parents for money.

Geez, I'm alarmed to see myself, My Very Busy Friend, my sister Botanologia, and even Eeyore strapped for cash. A trend or coincidence?

Anarchy Man noticed an unusual number of attractive young women in the waiting room of the Food Stamps office. I told him how Prior Tenant was one of them last year. Digging the Welfare Queen, feel the beat of the tamborine, oh yeah!
